Keychron mechanical keyboards in South Africa
Our Keychron range spans several series. Wireless mechanical boards include the K8 QMK V2 (80% TKL), the K10 QMK V2 (full size), the V1 Max, the V3 Ultra 8K and V5 Ultra 8K, and the Q6 Max. Magnetic boards with Hall Effect switches include the K2 HE (75%) and K4 HE (96%). For wired use there are the C1 Pro 8K and C3 Pro QMK/VIA, both 80% layouts, and for a low, quiet desk setup the B1 Pro and B6 Pro ultra-slim wireless keyboards.
Accessories include the Cherry MX2A Brown RGB switch set, PBT LSA Knight low-profile keycaps, coiled aviator cables and the BM24 wireless silent mouse.
How to choose a Keychron keyboard
Start with layout: 75% and 80% boards keep arrow keys while saving space, 96% adds a number pad in a compact frame, and full size suits heavy spreadsheet work. Next pick a switch type. Mechanical boards with hot-swap sockets let you change switches later without soldering, while HE magnetic boards measure key travel for adjustable actuation, which many gamers like. QMK/VIA support means you can remap keys with free software. If you type in shared spaces, the B series is quieter and slimmer.
When buying switch sets or keycaps, check that they match your board's switch type and profile.
