Poly headsets and office audio in South Africa
Poly, now part of HP, is known for business headsets, and that is most of what we carry. The Blackwire range covers wired USB-C headsets such as the Blackwire 3220, 3315, 3320, 3325 and 5220, with some versions certified for Microsoft Teams and others set up for general UC use. For call centres, EncorePro HW510 mono and HW520 stereo wideband headsets connect through QD (quick disconnect) cords and adapters such as the DA75, DA85 and DA90.
For people who move around, there are Voyager Bluetooth headsets such as the Voyager 4320 and Voyager 5200 with BT700 dongles, and the Savi 8210 Office DECT headset. Tips for choosing a Poly headset
Check which calling platform your company uses. Teams versions are certified for Microsoft Teams, while UC versions are meant for most other calling apps. Look at the plug too: many Blackwire models are USB-C with a USB-A adapter, and the 3325 and 5220 add a 3.5mm jack for phones.
QD headsets such as the EncorePro need a matching adapter or audio processor to plug into a PC, so order the DA series cable that suits your setup. Mono headsets let agents hear the room, while stereo blocks out more noise in busy offices.
