Bixolon receipt and label printers in South Africa
Our Bixolon range is point-of-sale and labelling printers. Receipt printers use 3" paper and include the SRP-350V and SRP-330III thermal printers with auto cutters and USB, the SRP-E300ESK thermal printer and a 3" impact receipt printer.
For labels there are the XD3-40T and XD5-40T 4" direct thermal label printers, suited to shipping, shelf and barcode labels. We also stock the Bixolon WLAN interface assembly for adding wireless networking to supported models. If counter space is tight, compare the size of each receipt printer before ordering, and keep spare paper rolls on hand for busy trading days.
Thermal or impact: which Bixolon printer?
Thermal receipt printers are quiet and fast and need no ink or ribbon, but they use heat-sensitive paper, so they suit retail counters and most till points. Impact printers use a ribbon and plain paper, which copes better near the heat of a kitchen, so many restaurants use them for kitchen order slips. Direct thermal label printers such as the XD series print without ribbons; direct thermal labels can fade over time, so they suit shipping and short-term labels. Check which connection your POS software and till expect, usually USB, and order the right paper roll width.
