Cudy

Cudy routers and switches in South Africa

Our Cudy range is almost entirely networking. Routers run from the WR1200 AC1200 dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router with Fast Ethernet ports to the WR1300 AC1200 Gigabit mesh router and the WR3000 AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh router. To extend coverage there is the RE3600 BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 mesh range extender, the AP3000 outdoor AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 access point and the 1300Mbps dual-band USB 3.0 adapter for desktops without Wi-Fi.

For wired networks we carry the metal GS105 and GS108 Gigabit desktop switches, PoE switches such as the GS1005PT, GS1010P, GS1010PE and GS1018PS, the POE400 90W PoE++ injector, the MC220 Gigabit media converter and 1.25G and 10G SFP and SFP+ modules in single-mode and multi-mode.

Choosing Cudy networking gear

For a fibre or other fast internet line, pick a router with Gigabit ports such as the WR1300 or WR3000 rather than the Fast Ethernet WR1200. When buying a PoE switch, add up the power your cameras or access points draw and compare it with the switch's budget, for example 100W on the GS1010P or 180W on the GS1018PS. SFP modules must match the fibre type: single-mode modules for longer runs of 10km or 20km, and multi-mode for short links up to 500m.
