IgniteNet MetroLinq and G-Link networking in South Africa

Our IgniteNet range is small and specialised. The MetroLinq 10G Tri-Band Omni AP works across 60GHz, 5GHz and 2.4GHz and has a 10G SFP+ port, for high-capacity wireless links in fixed wireless and campus networks. For installation and setup we stock the MetroLinq LC Precision Bracket and the Linq Assist Bluetooth module for MetroLinq.

The G-Link bridges carry Gigabit Ethernet over existing coaxial cable. The outdoor G-Link is reverse powered, and the indoor G-Link adds a 2.4GHz access point with cloud management.

Where IgniteNet fits

MetroLinq suits wireless ISPs and network installers building short, high-capacity links between buildings or masts, since 60GHz carries a lot of data over short distances but needs a clear line of sight. G-Link is useful in buildings that already have coax runs, such as older apartment blocks, hotels and estates with satellite or TV cabling, where it avoids pulling new network cable through walls. Before buying, check the condition of the coax and plan where power will come from, particularly for the reverse-powered outdoor unit. Pair the MetroLinq's SFP+ port with a switch that has a matching uplink. These products are aimed at installers rather than home users, so confirm compatibility with your existing MetroLinq or coax network before ordering.
