Intel processors and components in South Africa

Processors make up most of our Intel range. For the newer LGA1851 platform there are Core Ultra 5 225, 225F, 245KF and 250K Plus, Core Ultra 7 265 and Core Ultra 9 285K chips. For LGA1700 we stock 12th and 14th Gen Core processors including the i3-14100, i5-12400, i5-14400, i5-14400F, i5-14600K and i7-14700, in boxed versions (some with the Laminar RM1 cooler) and tray versions for system builders. The Laminar RM1 cooler is also sold on its own.

Other Intel parts include the Wi-Fi 6 AX211 and Wi-Fi 6E AX210 M.2 cards for adding Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to a desktop or laptop, and a Xeon Silver 4314 processor kit for HPE servers.

Choosing an Intel CPU

Match the socket to your motherboard: Core Ultra chips need an LGA1851 board, while 12th to 14th Gen Core processors use LGA1700. Models ending in F have no integrated graphics, so you will need a graphics card, and K models are unlocked for overclocking and usually come without a cooler. Tray processors ship without retail packaging or a cooler, so plan for one. For Wi-Fi, the AX211 only works in systems with Intel CNVi support, while the AX210 fits most standard M.2 Wi-Fi slots.
