Nexon

Nexon multiplugs and extension leads in South Africa

Our Nexon range covers everyday power distribution for homes and offices. Surge-protected multiplugs come in high surge and medium surge versions, including 8-way and 12-way models with 0.5m cords, with the medium surge models in white. There is also a 2-way high surge multi adaptor and a TV surge adaptor made to SANS 164-2, the South African plug standard.

Side-by-side extension leads come in heavy-duty versions in 3m, 5m and 10m lengths, in black or white, and in a light-duty 5m version in white.

Choosing a Nexon multiplug or lead

Count the devices you need to power and choose a multiplug with a spare outlet or two. High surge models give more protection for sensitive equipment such as computers, TVs and networking gear, which matters when power returns after load shedding or during summer storms. Heavy-duty leads suit higher loads and frequent use, while light-duty leads suit lamps, chargers and small electronics. Pick a lead long enough to reach without strain, and avoid plugging multiplugs into one another; use a longer lead or a multiplug with more outlets instead. For TVs and entertainment units, the TV surge adaptor adds protection at a single wall socket.
