Siklu EtherHaul wireless links in South Africa

Our Siklu range is for building high-capacity wireless links between buildings or towers. Radio links include the EtherHaul 710TX 70GHz PtP link (1Gbps TDD) and the EtherHaul 1200FX 80GHz PtP link (1Gbps FDD), both with 1ft antennas. Antennas and mounting include the EtherHaul E-Band 1ft (38cm) 70/80GHz high-performance antenna, a V-Band 60GHz 2ft antenna and mounting kit, and an X-Adaptor for fitting an SFF E-Band ODU to a 2ft antenna.

Capacity is set by licence, with an EtherHaul 8010FX 10Gbps initial capacity licence, a 1000Mbps to 2000Mbps upgrade licence per radio and an ExtendMM backup link licence for the 8000 Series. Power and connectivity parts include a 60W 48V PoE adapter, an outdoor dual-port 100W DC PoE injector, 10G multi-mode SFP+ modules and EtherHaul long all-weather shells.

Planning a Siklu link

Millimetre-wave links need clear line of sight between the two ends, and link distance drives antenna choice: larger antennas give more gain for longer hops. Check that the licence and upgrade you order match your radio series, since licences are per radio. Confirm the PoE injector suits the radio's power draw, and match SFP+ modules to your fibre type and switch.
