Zone network cabinets and PDUs in South Africa

Our Zone range is for building tidy network and server points. Wall mount cabinets include the Zone Lite 4U with fan, 9U, 12U and 15U swing frame models, a Zone Lite 15U at 500mm deep and a 12U IP54 cabinet for dusty or damp areas.

Power comes from a 6-way PDU with a hard-wire lead and a 20+4 way 32A vertical cabinet PDU with C13 and C19 outlets and a circuit breaker. Fitting parts include a 1U extended brush panel, 1U blanking plates and a 4-way fan unit. For the cabling side there are Cat5e and Cat6 RJ45 wall outlets and Cat5e patch cords.

How to choose a Zone cabinet

Add up the rack units of everything you plan to fit, such as a patch panel, switch, router and PDU, then allow a few spare U for growth and airflow. Check the depth too: the 400+200mm swing frame cabinets swing open on a hinged frame, which makes it easier to reach the back of equipment once the cabinet is on the wall.

Match the PDU to your supply. A 32A cabinet PDU with C13 and C19 outlets suits server equipment, while a 6-way PDU covers a small wall cabinet. Fan units help where switches with PoE run hot.
